Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night for a romantic meal for two. The restaurant was quite busy but not overcrowded or noisy. The staff were very professional and attentive. The food was excellent and of a very high quality. Do strive to leave room for the sweet trolley, it never fails to impress. The restaurant itself is very accessible and close to both Wallington Station and a bus stop for very easy access to both Croydon and Morden. Highly recommended!

I have lived in Carshalton for 28 years and have been meaning to try El Nido as I have heard such great reviews from friends and family. We visited last night as it was the only restaurant that had availability and so glad that they did!! The service, atmosphere, food and cost was fantastic and I would not hesitate to return. Nowadays, service like we had at El Nido does not exist , the owners are genuinely friendly, which is rare. In my opinion, this restaurant should have a waiting list for bookings, it’s great!!

Have driven past El Nido hundreds of times but last Friday booked for two. Firstly, being a non drinker I was pleased they stock 0% San Miguel beautifully chilled. Good start. There is a very relaxing atmosphere you don't feel other patrons are sitting on your shoulder. Then the lovely Mr & Mrs Garcia take over making you feel as if you have been using their restaurant all your life. Carlos, their son, is your chef and his menu is a delight. They specialise paella which is cooked from scratch using homemade stock so allow 30 minutes if not ordering a starter. I had black pudding finished with a fried egg, delightful. My wife and I shared a traditional paella, chicken and fish and we were NOT disappointed. Fabulous!! Couldn't finish it so took home leftovers for breakfast with scrambled eggs. I was tempted to a gooey chocolate brownie from the dessert trolley but could quite easily have worked my way through the entire contents. To finish? Delightfully strong hot espresso some of the best coffee I have had locally. If I ever drive past El Nido again I will be thinking "I wonder can they fit me in this evening?" Can't wait to go back
